The Foxtail Cabins are located on the north side of Rathbun Lake, just west of the Town of Moravia. This area offers limitless activities to choose from. Whether fishing for the many species of fish in the 11,000-acre Rathbun Lake, or hunting for pheasants, quail or that trophy buck that southern Iowa is known for, today’s sportsman will certainly fall in love with this area. Centerville, which is located just 20 minutes South of our cabins, was recently listed in Outdoor Life magazine as one of the top 200 towns in the United States for hunters and fishermen to call home. Beyond hunting and fishing, there is plenty of shopping to be done in the cozy shops located in the nearby Amish community of Bloomfield. And with the opening of the Honey Creek Destination Water Park and Golf Course scheduled for Fall 2008, the list of activities will continue to grow. So, we invite you to come and enjoy your stay at our fully-furnished, Amish-built cabins that are set into the beauty of this South Central Iowa area. |
